A few staff members shared special thoughts about their dads in honor of Father’s Day last weekend. We love dads!
Juneteenth. On this day in 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas. These troops proclaimed the news of the Emancipation Proclamation and the freeing of enslaved people in Confederate states. On every June 19th since, people have gathered to remember, thank God, and celebrate this moment symbolizing the end of slavery in the United States.

Memorial Day.
Today we remember our fallen service members for their ultimate sacrifice. We honor those who gave their lives for our freedom. So on this day we pause and we reflect and we count our blessings so that we may never forget the named and unnamed individuals who are faithful and sacrificed their lives for us.
Join our Cottage Grove Campus Pastor Austin Walker in prayer for the heartbreak in our country right now.
We are grieving the lives lost in the recent shootings that have happened in our world. In a grocery store in Buffalo, ten people were killed in a racially motivated attack. Today, a school in Texas was devastated by the killing of 18 students and two adults. These 30 people were deeply loved by God. Please be in prayer with us for the victim’s families and their communities in this horrific time. ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.’ -Psalm 34:18
