Best part of summer? CR Kids Mini-Camp!

Summer is a time of discovery for our kids! They learn to ride bikes, catch fish, play new sports, and explore the outdoors. This summer, our CR Kids Mini-Camp will be a place for kids to discover more about who Jesus is and how we can love like him.

Camp days will be packed with inspiring Bible stories, fun games, interactive snacks and crafts, and lots of opportunities to make new friends. Your kids will learn:

  • I can be kind to others like Jesus (Mark 10:13-16)
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever (1 John 4:9-12)
  • I can pray for others like Jesus (Matthew 6:9-13)
  • I can live it out and love like Jesus (Acts 2:42-47)

No matter which campus you attend, your Mini-Camp experience will be the same.

Mini-Camp is for kids ages 4 through 5th grade, and registration is $55 per child. Families of four or more will receive an automatic discount and will pay $165 at checkout. Scholarships are available. Please email our CR Kids Coordinator, Juanita Hensel, for a scholarship link!

Frequently Asked Questions

Mini-Camp t-shirt, four days of live teaching, worship, games, snacks, and crafts.

We’ll be very active during Mini-Camp, children are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes throughout the week. Your kid can also expect outdoor activities, so we also suggest light clothing and sunscreen applied before arriving at camp. If your child has noise sensitivities and noise-cancelling headphones, please send their headphones to camp with them labeled clearly with their name.

We strongly encourage bringing limited personal items! CR Kids rotate through a bunch of activities, which results in many lost and found items. Your child may bring a water bottle each day with their name labeled on it. Any other personal items should be packed in a small lightweight backpack with their name on it.

A light snack will be provided for your child. A complete snack list will be posted on the Mini-Camp landing page once it’s finalized! If you send your child with a snack, it must be peanut and tree nut free for the safety of all attendees. Please be sure to write your child’s name on their snack bag for easy identification.

Water will be available, but if your child wishes to bring their own water bottle, please have it labeled clearly with their first and last name.

Please be sure the allergy was noted in registration! They’ll get a wristband to wear at camp, which lets their leaders know they have an allergy.

A complete snack list will be posted on the Mini-Camp landing page once it is finalized. If your child has allergies to any of our snacks, please send an alternative snack for that day, labeled clearly with your child’s name. Snacks must be peanut and tree nut free for the safety of all attendees.

Make sure your child meets the age requirements for Mini-Camp (turning age 4 on or before the start of camp). If still having trouble registering, please contact the CR office at 651-294-7700 or email our Kids Coordinator Juanita Hensel at juanitah@crossroads.co.

We’re not able to offer before care or after care for Mini-Camp. Children may be dropped off at 9 a.m. and picked up at 11:30 a.m. each day!

Yes! At the end of each day, we clean up all areas and place any lost items in the front lobby of camp. You can look through this area each morning to find what your kiddo lost.

Please call our central office at 651-294-7700. Our staff will get you in touch with someone on the team if you need anything during camp hours.

Adults and students (who have completed 6th grade) can serve. Students who volunteer can receive community service hours. Sign up to volunteer – you can do so when you register your kids! After you register to volunteer, someone will connect with you with additional information.

Please email our CR Kids Coordinator Juanita Hensel for a scholarship link. We will process your application and then let you know your next steps to get registered.

Check-in starts each day at 9:00 a.m. Your child will already be assigned to a small group, which will be reflected on their name tag. Guardians must drop off and pick up kids at their small group.

Pick-up is at 11:30 a.m.

If your child will be picked up by someone other than the person who drops them off, please let the leaders know upon check-in. Send a photo of the child’s parent tag from that day to the individual picking them up so they can present this when they arrive. Guardians must have the parent tag given at the time of drop off which contains a daily unique security code. Parents are encouraged to take a photo of the tag at drop off to avoid lost tags.

Our kid’s team wants to partner with you and your kids! We hope all kids can participate and know every child is unique. When you register for camp, you will be asked about how we can support your child. Once registration is received our team will reach out to discuss.

We strive to offer a consistent experience at each of our campuses – Hastings, Cottage Grove, Eagan, and Woodbury. Each campus has a designated week for camp which includes the same teaching, worship, craft, and activities.
