Best part of summer? CR Kids Mini-Camp!

We couldn’t be more excited about CR Kids Mini-Camp this summer: “Start the Party”! Jesus gives us the most amazing reason to party! God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus is the best news ever!

Mini-Camp will be a memorable experience full of energy, movement, and lots of God’s word. Your kids will grow their faith as they learn:

  • Everyone is invited to the party! (Matthew 22:1-14)
  • Celebrate the good news! (Luke 15:11-32)
  • They can be party starters! (Matthew 5:14-16)

Frequently Asked Questions

Mini-camp t-shirt, four days of live teaching, worship, games, snacks, and crafts.

We will be very active during Mini-Camp, so we highly encourage your child to wear closed-toe shoes throughout the week. Your child will be participating in outdoor activities, so we suggest light clothing and sunscreen be applied before arriving at camp. If your child has noise sensitivities and has noise-canceling headphones, please send their headphones to camp with them labeled clearly with their name.

We strongly encourage personal items to be limited as CR Kids rotate throughout activities which results in many lost and found items. Your child may bring a water bottle each day with their name labeled on it. Any other personal items should be packed in a small lightweight backpack with their name on it.

A light snack is provided for your child. A complete snack list will be posted on the Mini-Camp landing page once it is finalized. If your child has allergies to any of our snacks, please send an alternative snack for that day. Please be sure the allergy was noted in registration, they will get a wristband to wear at camp that lets their leaders know that they have an allergy. Snacks must be peanut-free and tree-nut-free for the safety of all attendees. Please be sure to write your child’s name on their snack bag for easy identification. Water will be available, but if your child wishes to bring a water bottle, please have that labeled clearly with their first and last name.

Make sure your child meets the age requirements for mini-camp (turning age 4 on or before the start of camp). If still having trouble registering, please contact the CR office at 651-294-7700 or email our Central Kids Coordinator at juanitah@crossroads.co.

We are not able to offer before care or after care for camp. Children may be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up at 11:30 a.m. each day.

Yes, after each day, we clean up all our areas and we place any lost and found in the front lobby of camp for you to look through each morning.

Please call our central office at 651-294-7700. Our staff will get you in touch with someone on the team if you need anything during camp hours.

Adults and students (who have completed 6th grade) can serve. Students who volunteer can receive community service hours. Sign up to volunteer! After you register to volunteer (you can do so when you register your kids!), someone will connect with you with additional information.

Please email Juanita Hensel (CR Kids Coordinator) for a scholarship link. We will process your application and then let you know your next steps to get registered.

All participants and volunteers of Mini-Camp are required to fill out a medical waiver.

Check-in starts each day at 9:00 a.m. Your child will already be assigned to a small group, which will be reflected on their nametag. Guardians must drop off/pick up kids at their small group.

Pick-up is at 11:30 a.m. If your child will be picked up by someone other than the person who drops them off, please let the leaders know upon check-in. Send a photo of the child’s parent tag from that day to the individual picking them up so they can present this when they arrive. Guardians must have the parent tag given at the time of drop off which contains a daily unique security code. Parents are encouraged to take a photo of the tag at drop off to avoid lost tags.

Our kid’s team wants to partner with you and your kids! We hope all kids can participate and know every child is unique. When you register for camp, you will be asked about how we can support your child. Once registration is received our team will reach out to discuss.

We strive to offer a consistent experience at each of our campuses (Hastings, Cottage Grove, Eagan, Woodbury). Each campus has a designated week for camp which includes the same teaching, worship, craft, and activities.
